Pangea Marbella: Guide to the Puerto Banús Rooftop Club
· Updated:
Pangea is the club on top of the Club de Mar building in Puerto Banús: a third-floor, open-air rooftop looking over the harbour, the Mediterranean and the Marbella skyline. It's a summer venue, and in October it's closed. No dates for next season have been published, so take this as a guide for planning your summer, not tonight.
What the rooftop is like
The setting is the whole point. You're above the port, with yachts below and the sea beyond, in a space laid out with cabanas and leather sofas rather than a dark box with a dance floor. It works as an open-air club: DJ sets, themed parties and a crowd that's come to see and be seen. Guides also mention a retractable roof, which would explain how it copes on the odd windy or damp summer night.
Pangea also runs residencies. In summer 2026 there was a Sunday series called Nueva Soul, listed from 12 July to 30 August. Programming changes from season to season, so check what's on when it reopens rather than counting on a specific night repeating.

The hen and stag rule
This is the one that catches groups out, so it gets its own section. Pangea doesn't allow bachelor or bachelorette accessories. That means no veils, no crowns, no sashes and no matching T-shirts. Puerto Banús gets a lot of hen and stag groups in summer, and plenty of them turn up dressed for the occasion. At Pangea that outfit is the problem.
- Leave the veil, crown and sash at the hotel or in your bag before you queue.
- Matching group T-shirts count too, even if they look smart.
- Dress the bride or groom up in a different way: a white outfit or a sharp suit works without breaking the rule.
- If you want the full themed look all night, plan the earlier part of the evening elsewhere and switch before Pangea.
Dress code
Beyond the hen and stag rule, the club asks for smart and elegant, and no sportswear. On a summer rooftop that means a good shirt or polo with trousers or chinos for men, and a dress or something dinner-ready for women. Trainers that look sporty, football shirts and tracksuits are the classic reasons to be turned away.

Who it suits
Pangea suits groups who want a drink with a view as much as a dance: couples, friends celebrating something, people who'd rather be on a terrace above the yachts than in a basement. It's less suited to a hen or stag group that wants to stay in costume all night, for the reason above, or to anyone after a dark after-hours room. Plenty of people combine the two: the rooftop first for the views, then on to a club that runs later. If you're unsure what to wear, go one notch smarter than you think; being a little overdressed is never the problem on a Banús rooftop.
Where it is and when it opens
The entrance is at the terrace of the Club de Mar building, Muelle de Honor s/n, Puerto Banús. You'll also see the address written as Pueblo Marinero de Ribera, Muelle principal, Nueva Andalucía. Either way it's on the port itself, so if you're already in Banús you can walk, and from Marbella centre or the Golden Mile a taxi to the port is the easy option. As for timing, it's a summer venue. Guides give different months, days and closing times, and none of those come from the club, so we won't guess: wait for the season to be announced.
Honest take
Pangea is the pick if the view and the open air matter more to you than a long, sweaty night in a closed room. Respect the door rules, dress well and arrive with the group sorted. If you're in Marbella now, though, it's shut: TIBU, a few minutes away in Puerto Banús, is open all year, and Newscafé is on the port's front line every night.
